There’s a level of study to suit everyone, from Level 1 courses to Advanced Apprenticeships.We are also now offering the exciting new Higher Diploma in Hospitality for 14-16 year olds.
At Lewisham College you will learn how to create a variety of different ethnic cuisines, as well as classic dishes.
As you progress, you will also have the opportunity to be creative with your dishes and flavours, injecting your own personality into your food.
You will also discover new ways to present different multicultural foods. Preparing and cooking food for our silver service training restaurant, The Phoenix, you will learn to prepare a whole range of foods, including Caribbean cuisine, with a fine-dining twist.
You will learn in professionally-equipped, fully-furbished kitchens, including a state-of-the-art e-kitchen, which comes complete with video conferencing facilities. Our hospitality department has been named a Centre of Vocational Excellence.
Our tutors come from a range of industry backgrounds, and they inspire and encourage students with their first hand knowledge of the sector. With a genuine desire to see you succeed, our tutors have helped secure students a range of work placements in top restaurants such as the Savoy Grill and the Connaught Hotel.
Our students leave us with all the tools and skills they need for a successful career in the industry. Some choose to further their education at university level; others head straight into professional kitchens. Former students are now working across the country, from Gary Rhodes’ W1 to The Mandarin Hotel.
